I know I should move more. But between work fatigue, lack of time and demotivation, physical activity often remains low on the list of priorities. The question is no longer whether it works, it's proven. The question is how to integrate it sustainably into my life.

WHO recommendations for adults on physical activity for mental health:
- ●Moderate intensity: 150 to 300 minutes per week (i.e. 30 to 60 min per day, 5 days per week). Examples: brisk walking, cycling at a moderate pace, swimming, dancing. This is the best documented level for benefits on depression and anxiety.

4. How to get started and stick with it: strategies that work
Start ridiculously small. 5 minutes of walking per day for the first week. 10 minutes the second. The brain is not afraid of a tiny goal, and once started, we often achieve more. The enemy of physical activity is overly ambitious goals that trigger procrastination.
Anchor it to an existing habit. Walk after lunch, do 10 minutes of yoga before shower, get off a subway station early. Habit stacking is one of the most effective mechanisms for creating a lasting habit.
Choose a pleasant activity, not an “effective” activity. The best physical activity is the one I actually do. If the gym bores me, I won't keep it up. Dancing, gardening, cycling, hiking, team sports, everything counts, everything is worth it.
Rely on social connections. Practicing with someone else doubles the chances of maintaining the activity. A training partner, a walking group, a group class, the social dimension creates a powerful additional commitment.
